Norwich Cathedral

Today I visited the beautiful Norwich Cathedral, built between 1096 and 1145 - its style varies from Norman to Perpendicular Gothic. Its cloisters are among the largest in England (second only to Salisbury's ones) - the Cathedral is also famous for its several thousands "bosses" (knobs of stone or wood) and its spire. I found the visit very inspiring - especially when I noticed the superb Medieval carvings in the quire and the spectacular Medieval altar pieces which survived the "stripping of the altars" and so the Norman decorations (if your eyes are sharp enough to spot them). I hope you will enjoy these pictures because I did enjoy to visit and pray in this inspiring house of God.
